Boy George devastated over friend’s suicide

Boy George has been left devastated after his good friend committed suicide.
The Culture Club singer took to Twitter to express his upset at close pal Alice Shaw tragically taking her own life.
He wrote: "My long time friend @alifromdapally took her own life. I am struggling with this. I’m am devastated but I need to say how much I loved her!"
The ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker was inundated with messages of support from his followers.
One said: "I am so incredibly sorry. My cousin took his own life three years ago, so I understand the pain. My heart goes out to you", while another wrote: "Sending you lots of love at this hard time x."
Hours earlier, Alice wrote on her own Twitter page: "Please know I am more at peace now than I have been in a very long time and there is nothing anyone could have done."
She accompanied her sad words with a picture which said "Au Revoir Mon" and had a little black heart attached.
Boy George also replied to one of his followers and said the situation was "just awful".
The 54-year-old star recently revealed how he had turned his life around after reaching a new low.
He said: "I think life is about growing into yourself and getting to like that person. I don’t know what the switch is from being insane to sane. It could be a number of things, what I eat, drink.
"You have to change the way you look at things. In my case I was taken to the point when I got to such a low place and the way I was dealing with it wasn’t making it any better.
"You have to get smart and say, OK being a f**k-up isn’t something I do well. I am much better sober, functioning and calm."
