Bob Hoskins for digital Roger Rabbit return?

Bob Hoskins could return for the ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ sequel in digital form.
The late actor – who died in April 2014 aged 71 – may reprise his role as Eddie Valiant in ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit 2’ after starring in the role in the 1988 original movie, and director Robert Zemeckis has plans to bring his character back as a ghost.
He said: "It would be very hard to do but we would do a digital Bob Hoskins."
Despite having a script in place for the motion picture, which moves the story of Roger and Jessica Rabbit forward, Zemeckis is not sure whether the sequel will ever be made because Disney, who own the screenplay, don’t seem too interested.
He added to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "The current corporate Disney culture has no interest in Roger, and they certainly don’t like Jessica at all."
In the original film, Hoskins’ Valiant was a Toon-hating detective who ended up helping Roger – who was voiced by Charles Fleischer – when he was accused of the murder of Marvin Acme.
Kathleen Turner provided the uncredited voice of Jessica, while Christopher Lloyd starred as Judge Doom and Joanna Cassidy was Dolores.
Hoskins sadly died of pneumonia at a hospital in London in April 2014, and afterwards Zemeckis paid tribute to his pal.
He said: "I was saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Hoskins. He was a beloved actor who brought a lot of enjoyment to film audiences worldwide.
"As for his performance in Roger Rabbit, for all the special effects and technical wizardry, it was Bob’s honesty and the truth of his performance that made the animated characters believable – and that was a testament to his real talent."
