Blink-182 to invest in boat for European tour

Blink-182 are looking into buying a boat so they can bring Travis Barker to Europe for a tour.
Bassist-and-vocalist Mark Hoppus – who is also joined by co-vocalist and guitarist Matt Skiba in the group – has revealed that their drummer is "looking into" buying a vessel so he can come over from America, as he no longer flies after being involved in a plane crash in 2008 that almost saw him lose his life.
Mark, 44, revealed: "We are looking into it. Hopefully we can make it work. Travis is looking into the possibility of taking a boat from LA, which is a very long trip."
Meanwhile, Travis – who usually takes the Queen Mary cruise ship over to the UK from New York – is not bothered about spending long periods on a bus and boat.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I take a tour bus everywhere when we’re in the States, but if we’re going to do a tour of Europe then I take the Queen Mary boat across to the UK.
"I’m on a bus for six days, travelling from LA to New York, and then I’m spending eleven days on a boat."
Mark previously revealed that they are hoping to make it over to the UK next summer.
Asked if he plans on getting Travis over to the UK for a tour, he told BANG Showbiz: "Yes absolutely. Right now we’re making plans to try and come over next summer."
The pop/punk band’s first album without former bandmate Tom DeLonge, ‘California’, dropped earlier this week and Mark feels like it is a return to their roots.
He said: "I feel like this album is a return to what Blink 182 is all about. I think that it is energetic, I think its angsty, I think its fun, I think that it is something you will put on before you go out and conquer the weekend."
Meanwhile, asked if there is any chance of Tom rejoining the band, after his departure last year, the ‘Bored to Death’ hitmaker said he "hadn’t thought about it".
