Black Eyed Peas to reform in VR form?

will.i.am says Fergie could rejoin Black Eyed Peas – but only in Virtual Reality (VR) form.
The 32-year-old musician has no interest in going back to the past and releasing new music with his old bandmates, but he would be keen to do a futuristic VR experience for fans.
The producer and ‘The Voice UK’ coach said: "There are infinite possibilities for the world to create.
"We could create virtual Black Eyed Peas.
"You could go back to when we started the group in 1998 and experience that story, you could go back to when we first got signed in 1997 when we first got signed to Interscope.
"What we were thinking in 2003 when we put Fergie in the group, there’s so much you can do."
However, he says it’s highly unlikely the real-life band will release new music because there is "no money" in it.
Speaking to Mirror Online, will said: "What you’re asking is, ‘Hey, are you going to make 14 songs the way you used to before, and put it on a streaming platform for no money?’ Probably not.
"Like, why? Why you going to go back to yesterday when you know the amount of money you made yesterday won’t be made doing it that way today?
"But, when you create worlds, hell yeah I’d like to build a world that Fergie’s a part of."
The ‘Where is the Love?’ hitmaker isn’t interested in reliving the past, and would much rather create new ideas for the characters in their Marvel Comic, futurist B-Boy Zombie Thriller, ‘Black Eyed Peas Present: Masters of the Sun ― The Zombie Chronicles’.
He added: "I want to create worlds with new characters, so ‘Masters of the Sun’ isn’t just me, apl.de.ap and Taboo.
"We created new characters, new ideas, things that can live forever.
"There’s a limited shelf-life for what Fergie, me, Ap and Taboo do as creators but now you can create s**t that can live for a long-ass time."
Black Eyed Peas haven’t released new music since 2010’s ‘The Beginning’ LP.
