Big Shaq’s EastEnders love

Big Shaq loves ‘EastEnders’.
Jake Wood – who plays Max Branning in the BBC One soap – says the ‘Man’s Not Hot’ hitmaker is a huge fan of the goings on in Albert Square, and the 46-year-old actor loves to have some "banter" with fellow celebrities and fans on social media.
He said: "One of things I love about social media, it puts you in touch with who you wouldn’t necessarily connect with. Big Shaq loves ‘EastEnders’.
"I love a bit of banter. It’s nice to get the feedback."
Jake has also vowed to help hip hop star Wretch 32 – who is known to be a massive fan of the soap – land a part on ‘EastEnders’.
Speaking on MC Harvey’s Team Harvey YouTube channel, Jake said: "We’ll get him [Wretch] on the show."
Wretch, 33, has made no secret of his ‘EastEnders’ love in the past, but in 2013 he admitted his chances of making a cameo on the soap may have gone.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Nah, I don’t think I’ll ever get to be in it now unfortunately. I think that ship has sailed. It’s a shame.
"I think the ‘EastEnders’ email must have gone into my Junk Mail. I’ll have to check they’ve got the right address, or it could be in my spam I guess."
However, it wouldn’t be the first time he is wrong about something ‘EastEnders’-related because Wretch previously predicted that characters Kat and Alfie Moon – Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie – wouldn’t get back together on the soap.
Speaking in 2013, he said: "I can’t see them getting back together unfortunately. It’s a shame but I think that ship has said sailed now. I think they need to let that one go."
However, Kat and Alfie did rekindle their romance, although they are currently estranged.
