Beyoncé took Blue Ivy as date to MTV VMAs

Beyoncé took her daughter Blue Ivy as her date to the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday (28.08.16) night.
The 34-year-old singer’s four-year-old daughter made her first ever appearance on a red carpet over the weekend when she accompanied her mother into the glamorous ceremony in Madison Square Garden in New York.
And the ‘Formation’ hitmaker was determined to have all eyes on her little girl as she dressed her in a golden Mischka Aoki frock, which costs a reported $10,950, and a tiara.
Her long dark hair was pulled back into two tight braided pig tails while her tiny nails were painted with a vibrant blue.
Despite her lack of experience, the youngster appeared to be in her element as she flashed her cheeky smile to the happy snappers, while her mother dropped jaws with her baby blue figure-hugging feathered-diamante frock.
Although it was her first red carpet, this year wasn’t the first time Blue has been present at the star-studded VMAs as she also handed her mother the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the glamorous ceremony two years ago.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé may have had a lot to deal with before the ceremony but she appeared very cool and collected ahead of her intense 16-minute performance at the event.
And this year will certainly be one to remember as not only did her set get rave reviews from fans across the globe, her new album ‘Lemonade’ and singles ‘Hold Up’ and ‘Formation’ managed to bring her in eight trophies in total.
Her collection of accolades have now made her the most awarded artist in the event’s history after her career total of 24 now beats Madonna’s previous record of 20.
