Beverley Callard will resume filming on ‘Coronation Street’ next month.
The 59-year-old actress – who plays barmaid Liz McDonald – is currently taking some time out of the ITV soap as she battles depression but Beverley insisted she is looking forward to her return to ‘Corrie’.
Joking about Liz’s racy outfits, she told the Sunday Mirror: "Fortunately – or unfortunately for some – I will be in those PVC miniskirts very soon.
"From what I’m told, Liz will be back with a bang. I can’t wait."
Beverley has battled depression in the past and revealed that her latest bout was brought on by a change in her HRT medication but Beverley now has her illness under control and is determined to speak out to help others.
She explained: "There is so much stigma around mental illness, and that’s the reason you have to talk about it.
"Everything in my life is amazing and wonderful right now and you think, ‘How can this happen to me again? Why?’ I’ve got a wonderful husband, a fantastic family and a great job. I’ve got nothing to moan about whatsoever.
"But once you start to slide into that black hole you can’t ever imagine being well again."
