Beverley Callard calls for Corrie sacking

Beverley Callard has called for her ‘Coronation Street’ character to be sacked.
The 61-year-old actress believes her alter-ego Liz McDonald should be fired from her position as a receptionist at the medical centre, after she abused her position by passing on confidential information about Eva Price’s (Catherine Tyldesley) baby Susie to her on/off love interest Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley).
Following the shocking scenes, some soap fans were so shocked by Liz’s actions they took to Twitter to call for her to be sacked from the surgery.
One fan wrote: "I know it’s soap land but she should be fired (sic)"
Beverley replied: "You’re right. X (sic)"
Another viewer wrote: "I can’t believe Liz @beverleycallard did that #corrie @itvcorrie (sic)"
One tweeted: "Oh yes she should be SACKED (sic)"
While Liz is yet to be relieved from her duties at the medical centre, she was axed from her other job as barmaid at the Rovers Return pub as a result of betraying Eva.
Eva took Susie to the doctor after she rolled off the sofa in the pub’s back room, but fortunately the youngster didn’t suffer any injuries.
Johnny and Eva are at the centre of a bitter custody battle after he discovered young Susie is his late son Aidan Connor’s (Shayne Ward) daughter.
But Catherine has teased Eva will "stop at nothing" to keep her child.
The 34-year-old actress said: "She is so ready, she has already given her up once she is not prepared to lose her little girl again. She is ready to play hard ball, much to everyone’s shock.
"If it was me, nobody would ever take my little boy away, I would stop at nothing."
