Ben Price to return to Coronation Street?

Ben Price is to return to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 46-year-old actor is reportedly set to reprise his role as Nick Tilsley in the ITV soap after around 14 months away from the show.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Exactly how Nick will be brought back into the fray is still to be decided. But the Platts, and in particular Nick, are a massive part of the Corrie family and always at the heart of some of the show’s biggest storylines. Producers are currently coming up with a bombshell way for him to come back to Weatherfield."
Ben quit in January last year to spend more time with his wife Alexandra and their two children, daughter Paloma, 11, and eight-year-old son Max.
Of his decision to call it quits, Ben said at the time: "’Coronation Street’ has been the most significant part of my career and I have had a fantastic seven years here. The decision to leave is purely personal – I want to spend more time with my family. I have been supported by a terrific cast and crew and have had the most glorious storylines and for that I am most grateful."
Whilst the soap’s Executive Producer, Kieran Roberts, added: "We fully respect Ben’s decision to leave ‘Coronation Street’. As Nick he has been the centre of some of the biggest plots of the last seven years. He is valued member of cast who will be greatly missed but we still have many months of great storylines with him leading to his dramatic exit later this year."
At the time, Ben admitted he was pleased to be saying goodbye to his character because it’s come to a "natural end."
He explained: "I feel as if I’ve done all I can with Nick. I’ve been in more than a thousand episodes and had a lot of big stories. It’s as if I’ve come to a natural end, and it’s time to say: ‘Thank you, that was amazing.’ It will be great to drive down that motorway to see my children and know I don’t have to leave them again two days later."
