Ben Hardy says "Ian Beale is hiding something".
The ‘EastEnders’ star has been told his on-screen father – played by Adam Woodyatt – isn’t being completely honest following the murder of his daughter Lucy.
Ben – who plays her brother Peter – told the Daily Mirror newspaper’s We Love TV magazine: "None of the actors know who killed Lucy, although we discuss our own theories on who it might be.
"In the scripts there are some censored scenes that I haven’t been allowed to read.
"I do know that Ian Beale is hiding something, but Adam Woodyatt won’t tell me, no matter how much I hassle him. The killer could be anyone at this point."
The 23-year-old actor also admitted the current storyline was part of a "revival" for the show and could give a real boost to its popularity.
He added: "I do feel like it’s a revival. Public opinion about the show seems to be getting back on track.
"I’m really happy to be so involved in this storyline, as for my first six months Peter was just selling fruit and veg."
