Ben Affleck is still negotiating Batman budget

Ben Affleck is still negotiating what budget he is going to have to spend on his Batman’ film.
The 44-year-old actor is in the process of creating a new standalone movie focused on the famous DC Comics character – who he has portrayed in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and will again in the upcoming ‘Justice League’ film – which he is writing, directing and starring in.
The film has been predicted to be released in 18 months’ time but Affleck insists there is no shooting schedule in place yet as he hasn’t finished the script and hasn’t finalised how much money he has to spend with Warner Bros. Studios who are backing the project with DC Entertainment.
In a Facebook Live interview, he said: "There is no Batman movie happening yet, we’re still trying to figure it out, you know, get the script and budget and all that stuff."
Affleck has also clarified comments he made earlier in the week in which he suggested the title of the superhero flick will be ‘The Batman’.
The Oscar winner insists he was just thinking out loud when he made the comment and he hasn’t yet got a name in the frame.
He explained: "I mentioned it the other day … it’s been around for a long time, but the movie … And someone said, ‘What are you calling it?’ and I had said, like, back when we were promoting another movie, I was like, ‘We don’t have a name for it, we’re just going with ‘The Batman’ or Batman movie’, and I said that, and everyone was like ‘Affleck announces the name of his Batman movie.’ "
It is known that Joe Manganiello will play supervillain Deathstroke in the Batman film.
Affleck will next be seen in Batman’s cape and cowl in superhero ensemble movie ‘Justice League’ along with Ezra Miller (The Flash), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg).
Shooting in London wrapped on the project last weekend but there are still a few days of filming to take place in Iceland before director Zack Snyder and the team can start the editing process.
