Belle Hassan’s dad helped her land Love Island role

Belle Hassan’s famous father helped her get on ‘Love Island’.
The 21-year-old star admitted her dad Tamer – who has appeared in the likes of ‘The Football Factory’, ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ – asked if she wanted to go onto the ITV2 dating show, and managed to get in touch with producers to make it happen.
She told Closer Online: "I had a conversation with my dad and he asked me if I wanted to do the show.
"I didn’t really think much of it and before I knew it one of his friends [got me in contact] with someone at ITV, and then I did the audition and started the application process."
Meanwhile, Belle’s beau Anton Danyluk has revealed he applied directly for the show had went through the entire "process".
He said: "I went through the whole application process. I did the first one minute video and from there I met producers, then I had a medical and then I met the executive producers and then I was ready to go."
Last month, ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall confirmed not all of the islanders were found through general applications, with the majority discovered by the "casting team".
Speaking on July 15, she explained: "On series five of Love Island to date, there have been 36 contributors.
"Twenty-four were found and cast by the programme’s casting team, six were put forward by professional agents and six came through the general application process."
Belle and Anton left the villa after Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury voted to send them home, and Belle later branded it at a "tactical" move.
Defending herself, the make-up artist argued: "It is a shame. Tommy and I will hopefully speak to Anton and Belle when we get out and chat about it.
"We had to pick a couple and it is hard. We did what we did and it was a joint decision from Tommy and I. There were absolutely no tactics involved whatsoever."
