Becca Tobin and her friends are reportedly "baffled" by Matt Bendik’s death.
The ‘Glee’ star, 28, is desperately "looking for answers" after her boyfriend was found dead in his hotel room at Philadelphia’s Hotel Monaco on Thursday (10.07.14).
An insider said: "He was such a solid guy. What a loss… Everyone is looking for answers and reasons right now."
Another source told UsMagazine.com that the late nightclub owner, 35, "didn’t do drugs" and "only casually" drank, adding: "He was a hardworking businessman, the nicest guy, very diligent, with such vision. It is unbelievable. None of us knows what it could be. He was a guy that loved life and loved living."
A friend close to the couple also said: "He was doing really well and they were happy together."
An incident report taken by a detective at the scene states no drugs, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, medication or weapons were located in Matt’s hotel room, and his body did not appear to have suffered any physical harm.
Becca’s loss comes almost one year to the day after her co-star Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver, Canada on July 13, 2013.
Tests later revealed the 31-year-old actor, who was dating his other co-star Lea Michelle, died as a result of a heroin and alcohol overdose.
