Bang On The Money is axed

Melvin Odoom’s ‘Bang On The Money’ has been axed.
The 36-year-old radio host co-presented the ITV game show alongside Ricky Haywood-Williams, 36, but producers have decided to pull the plug on the show after one series.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "’Bang On The Money’ is not coming back.
"There is so much going on with ITV but we are having a meeting with the company who made it to come up with some new ideas. Hopefully we will have something."
‘Bang On The Money’ first hit television in April and saw Rickie and Melvin go head to head in challenges as the teams predicted the winner in order to win a prize.
Melvin was no doubt devastated when he was told the show wasn’t making a return as he recently admitted the idea behind it was brilliant because it was about real people.
Speaking about the show previously, he said: "When we were developing this show, the thing that we said is that we wanted to make a show that if we were at uni watching TV, we’d want to be a part of it ourselves. With TV these days, a lot of things are surrounded by celebrity, and we wanted to produce a show that was essentially about real people."
Melvin hasn’t had the best of luck on the work front recently as he was dropped from the ‘X Factor’ spin-off show ‘The Xtra Factor’, which he presented last year alongside Rochelle Humes, earlier this year and replaced by Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson.
He was then nabbed by the BBC to take part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but was a flop with the viewers and became the first contestant to get the boot from the show.
However, it seems things could be starting to look up for Melvin now as he’s been asked to take part in the ballroom and latin’s show Christmas special alongside professional dancer Janette Manrara, who he was partnered with for the recent series of the show.
He said recently: "It’s kind of insane because everyone on the Strictly special is Strictly alumni. It feels like I am with the elite forces. But it’s really funny. I’ve loved doing ‘Strictly…’ but it has made me realise I am not as good a dancer as I thought I was.
"I thought in the nightclub I was smashing it. But learning ballroom is insane. It’s nothing like I have done before. When I came out of the competition, I don’t think I was a terrible dancer. I think everyone this year has been really good."
