Audrina Patridge’s daughter didn’t recognise her when she dyed her hair.
The 31-year-old television personality has admitted when she decided to change her hair colour for a darker shade her seven-month-old Kirra – who Audrina has with her 35-year-old husband Corey Bohan – "stared at her" for a long time and seemed puzzled by her new locks.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her child’s reaction to her makeover, the The Hill’s alumni said: "I was just wanting to do something different. I was blonde for way too long. I read all the comments from all my ‘Hills’ fans and they were like, ‘When are you going dark? You look better dark, go dark!’ And I was like let’s just do it. And when Kirra saw me she kind of just stared at me. She knew it was me but when I was holding her she would pick up my hair with her fingers. Like she had to see it and look at it."
However, Kirra wasn’t the only one surprised by her new do, as Audrina has admitted she is still getting used to her brunette tresses, although she is already contemplating doing something different with her hair again because she is a "hair addict".
She explained: "I haven’t been dark in so long so I am getting used to it. I feel so pale being dark now.
"I am a hair addict so I already know what I am doing next. I love to experiment and to do different things."
But Corey is the only one in the family to have welcomed Audrina’s change in style, as the reality star has revealed her spouse has been desperate for her to change her appearance because he "loves" her as a brunette.
She explained: "He has been wanting me to go dark for so long. He likes me better as a brunette. It makes my eyes pop and I love changing my hair."
