Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev’s pre-dance ritual

Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev enter the "Pashley bubble" when they hit the dancefloor.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional dancer has revealed that during the nerve-wracking seconds before they begin their routine in front of the live audience, he always reassures his partner by telling her that it’s just them and the music in the room.
He said: "On the dance floor, in that 10-20 seconds before the music starts, I tell Ashley that we’re getting into our ‘Pashley’ bubble.
"I tell her that it’s just her, me and the music, and that nothing else exists for the next 90 seconds."
Pasha says the fact they have a special connection and are able to "joke around" makes for a great partnership.
He said: "It makes a big difference, when you’re working with someone, if you like them on a personal level.
"We joke around and never fight, so it’s really good."
Pasha was crowned the winner of the BBC One ballroom and Latin show in 2014, along with his ‘Love Island’ host celebrity partner Caroline Flack, and he’d love to win again, though he’s not putting any pressure on himself or Ashley.
On their chances of lifting the glitter ball trophy, he told TV Times magazine: "All the professionals on ‘Strictly’ grew up competing so to get something to show for it at the end of the series is amazing.
"All Ashley and I can do is do one dance at a time and try to do it the best we can. But I wouldn’t say no to another trophy!"
