Ariana Grande sued over One Last Time

Ariana Grande is being sued over her single ‘One Last Time’.
The 23-year-old singer is the subject of legal action after it was claimed her 2014 track has the same hook as another song, which was released two years earlier.
Alex Greggs has claimed that he wrote, and holds the copyright to, the 2012 song ‘Takes All Night’, which was an EDM track for Skye Stevens.
Alex – who has worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, and Michael Jackson – believes that Ariana and ‘One Last Time’ producer David Guetta – duplicated the chorus of his song.
Now Alex is suing the Ariana for a cut of the profits from the track that was a top 20 hit in 2014.
But this isn’t the first time that one of the ‘Dangerous Woman’ hitmaker’s songs have come into the firing line of other producers.
Earlier this year, fans of 19-year-old producer Mura Mura claimed that Ariana’s track ‘Be Alright’ was a rip off of the 2015 song ‘Firefly’.
And, back in 2013, Ariana was reportedly sued after Minder Music – who own the rights to songs written by The Jimmy Castor Bunch – said that her track ‘The Way’ ripped off a particularly "iconic" lyric from their song ‘Troglodyte’ which was released in 1972.
Ariana recently shared two unreleased songs with her fans.
The singer has started a new Soundcloud page, which she titled "arianagrandeforrealidkwhyicantgetmyownlinkbutok" as the "arianagrande" url was already taken, and posted the tracks ‘Voodoo Love’ and ‘Honeymoon Avenue’.
And while Ariana is sharing new tracks with fans, it has been revealed that she will not have a solo in ‘Hairspray Live!’
Ariana plays Penny, the best friend of main character Tracy, and producer Neil Meron said: "I think one of the thrills is Ariana wanted to play the part as written. She loved the fact that she kind of held off those powerful pipes until the very end."
