Ariana Grande gives update on Eternal Sunshine Tour as Wicked star appears at Critics Choice Awards

Ariana Grande has said her Eternal Sunshine Tour is “in a good place”.

The 32-year-old singer is due to embark on her first tour in seven years in June 2026, and Grande has now teased she has been working on the set list for “months” and rehearsals for the shows are “starting very soon”.

Speaking with E! News at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday (04.01.26), the Wicked: For Good actress said: “I’ve been working on the set list for months now.

“It’s in a good place, but we’ll never know until we get into the rehearsals – which are starting very soon – and we put things on their feet if it’ll make sense or not.”

The Eternal Sunshine Tour will be the Side To Side hitmaker’s first concert trek since 2019’s Sweetener World Tour, and Grande is not giving anything away.

When asked what fans can expect from the upcoming tour, she said: “I want to let it be a surprise.”

She added: “I am grateful to work, and I’m excited for the tour.”

Grande had been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress honour for her performance as Glinda in Wicked: For Good at the Critics Choice Awards, but lost out on the accolade to Weapons’ Amy Madigan.

The 2025 Universal blockbuster had also been put forward for six other awards, including Best Picture and Best Costume Design.

Grande previously said her Eternal Sunshine Tour would be her “last hurrah” because she may not hit the road again for a “long, long time”.

During an appearance on the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast, the yes, and? singer explained: “I think the last 10 to 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up …

“I don’t want to say any definitive things. I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time …

“[The tour is] going to be beautiful and I’m so grateful that – I think that’s why I’m doing it because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah.’ For now.”

When asked about her future career plans, Grande said: “I spent so much time only doing pop music – but I grew up as a girl who loved musical theatre and comedy.

“So I think the thing that will be best for my soul and also my art and for what I’m giving to myself to, is if I’m chasing things that feel very right in the moment.

“Even if it’s mundane it needs to be something different. I am doing a movie right now because it’s a role that I read the script and I love it and it’s funny and I love the cast and I’m so excited.

“Then I’m doing a small stint of shows next year because that is something that authentically sounded good to me.

“I think following those authentic impulses feels like a really good idea.”
