Anton du Beke: Strictly hotel quarantine will be difficult

Anton du Beke hopes he won’t have to quarantine away from his family for the upcoming ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ series.

The 53-year-old ballroom dancer – who has three-year-old twins George and Henrietta with wife Hannah – has admitted it will be difficult to spend weeks away from his family, with the BBC considering isolating the pro dancers in a hotel.

He told HELLO! magazine: "Potentially, we will end up in a hotel for a couple of weeks or a month. That’s what has been spoken about and has been provisionally pencilled in.

"Everything else is contingencies but we’re waiting for instructions and the situation is massively fluid at the moment, so we will see what happens.

"It will be lovely to be with my ‘Strictly’ family – they are terrific and I love them all – but without Hannah and the children will be difficult, especially after having all this time together.

"I’m hoping we’re not going to have to do it but we will wait and see."

Anton has gushed over his family in lockdown, and thinks it is "the most wonderful thing" to be able spend so much time with his children.

He explained: "I spend every day with Hannah and the babies and it’s been the most wonderful thing! So if we talk about silver linings, it’s the most wonderful thing.

"It’s just gorgeous and a wonderful thing to be able to do, to spend all of your time with your children and Hannah of course."
