Anton Du Beke lands This Morning job

Anton Du Beke has landed a presenting role on ‘This Morning’.
The 53-year-old dancer will front a segment called ‘Anton’s Christmas Angels’, in which he will meet three deserving viewers of the ITV daytime show and surprise them by making their biggest dreams come true.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper of the segment: ""Whether this be rally car driving in the Cotswolds, ice skating with Torvill and Dean or singing on the stage of West End production ‘White Christmas’."
And the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star is "delighted" with his new job.
He said: "I was delighted to be asked to spend time celebrating Christmas on ‘This Morning’.
"What better way than to surprise some of the show’s most deserving viewers with the very best Christmas presents."
‘This Morning’ editor Martin Frizell added: "With Anton’s help we have some fantastic once-in-a-lifetime festive experiences."
And if the segment proves popular, Anton could be popping up on ‘This Morning’ more often as producers think he’s got far more "appeal" than just as a dancer.
The source said: "We want to do more and more with him – viewers love him and his appeal stretches far beyond ‘Strictly’."
Meanwhile, after being on ‘Strictly’ since it began in 2004, Anton will dance in the final for the first time next weekend after he and Emma Barton were voted through.
Chris Ramsey and Karen Clifton were voted off at the weekend, leaving Karim Zeroual and his partner Amy Dowden, Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse, and Anton and Emma to battle it out to lift the glitterball trophy.
‘Anton’s Christmas Angels’ will feature on ‘This Morning’ on Monday (09.12.19) on ITV.
