Anton Danyluk: Love Island relationships are an illusion

Anton Danyluk has claimed relationships on ‘Love Island’ are just an "illusion".
The 25-year-old gym owner split up with fellow contestant Belle Hassan five weeks after the show ended last year and admitted most of the friendships he forged in the villa have also ended and he only keeps in touch with Anna Vakili, 29, and Joe Garratt, 23.
He told MailOnline: "In the villa the relationships are an illusion and the friendships are an illusion. To be honest the only people I speak to are Anna and Joe. Things happened when people came off the show, people changed. I keep my circle very small.
"I thought I had brothers and sisters for life with a lot of people but it’s just an illusion in there. I don’t want to name people but it will be pretty obvious. I found a good friend in Joe so I’m happy with that."
Fitness fanatic Anton also revealed he has quit drinking alcohol after losing his way and getting caught up in the "celebrity lifestyle" when he left the ‘Love Island’ villa.
He said: "With ‘Love Island’ you shoot to fame instantly, you were a nobody and it’s hard to adapt to.
"We lose who we are. I wasn’t myself. I had been acting differently. When I came out of the villa I was no stranger to admitting that I was going out more than I ever did. I was always the fitness guy but I got caught up a bit in the celebrity lifestyle.
"At the start of this year I decided that I wasn’t going to be drinking this year and I’ve managed to stick to that. I haven’t had a drink at all."
