Anthea Turner vows to stay sexy in her 60s

Anthea Turner has vowed to stay "sexy" in her 60s.

The former ‘Blue Peter’ presenter reached the milestone age in May, but won’t let it stop her from wearing tight clothing to help her feel her best.

Speaking to new! magazine, she said: "I don’t want to be mutton dressed as lamb, but nothing will stop me wearing tight, sexy clothes.

"Youth and vitality isn’t in a pot of cream, it’s in your attitude and the way you look at life."

However, Anthea knows there are some outfits she wore in her 30s that she cannot "get away" with at her age today.

She joked: "There’s no such thing as cellulite, just bad light."

What’s more, the Botox enthusiast believes the lengthy closure of beauty salons has been "appalling" as it has damaged the customers’ mental well-being.

She said: "It affects people and their mental health, and the way they feel. Vanity has been part of our culture since time began."

The TV presenter – who was previously married to Peter Powell from 1990 to 1998, and Grant Bovey from 2000 to 2015 – had planned to tie the knot with Mark Armstrong, 55, in Italy this September, but they have put the wedding back until next because of the global health crisis.

She previously said: "Mark and I had planned to go out and look at venues in March and then set a date for September.

"Mark is from Italy, his family are from Milan, so it seemed the perfect place for us. It will be next year now. I am not even in any angst about it. When we do it, it will be small and cute, just with our close friends and family."

And Anthea believes it will be third time lucky with Mark when they do eventually tie the knot, calling him the "absolute love" of her life.

She gushed: "Mark is the absolute love of my life, we adore each other.

"He makes me smile every day and we are excited about our life together. Sometimes, when you are a bit older and you have lived, something tells you this is so right, you just know. "
