Anna Williamson in talks to make mental health documentary

Anna Williamson is in talks about making a documentary on mental health in relationships.

The ‘Celebs Go Dating’ guru has entered discussions with producers about making her next big documentary, which will look at how relationships can affect people’s mental health.

She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "I think that’s going to be a huge thing that’s going to be coming through over the next couple of years."

The 38-year-old TV presenter has previously helmed documentaries on anxiety for pregnant women and mothers for BBC One, as well as a series of talks called ‘Brain Debates’ for The Brain Forum.

Talks about her latest film come after Anna revealed she suffered an "emotional breakdown" in her 20s following a difficult patch in her relationship.

She said: "I was going through a tough time in a relationship at the time. I was guilty of overdoing it with work and people-pleasing, burning the candle at both ends.

"Essentially, I suffered an emotional breakdown and was subsequently diagnosed with GAD, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, and Panic Disorder."

Anna has since been able to help others looking for love find the right match on ‘Celebs Go Dating’ by using her own knowledge to pair up the single celebrities.

She will return to the E4 dating show, known as ‘Celebs Go Virtual Dating’ for the new series, alongside fellow guru Paul C Brunson to guide a new batch of stars, including Chloe Ferry, Pete Wicks, Levi Davis and Shaughna Phillips.

The celebrities will be sent off on a series of dates, either on a video call or outside while adhering to social distancing rules.
