Anna Paquin to cameo in X-Men: Days of Future Past

Anna Paquin will cameo in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’.

The 31-year-old actress who plays Rogue, a mutant with the ability to absorb the abilities of anyone she touches, will feature alongside A-Listers, Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) and Halle Berry (Storm).

20th Century Fox told BuzzFeed: "Essentially, [it’s] a cameo."

It was previously revealed that the actress was cut from a scene where she’s held prisoner by mutant-hunting Sentinel robots since there was an abundance of sequences which were more necessary.

Director Bryan Singer said: "Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous.

"It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go.

"Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it."

Paquin last hit the big screen in last year’s American crime drama ‘Free Ride’.
