Anna Kendrick: I thought Up in the Air was above my pay grade

Anna Kendrick initially thought the opportunity to appear alongside George Clooney in ‘Up in the Air’ was above her "pay grade".
The 31-year-old actress’ career has been on an upward curve since she landed the coveted role in the 2009 comedy-drama.
She said: "I thought, this is so above my pay grade, I won’t even bother imagining that I’ll get this job."
A few months later, however, Anna found herself starring opposite George in the film.
Recalling her experiences of working with the Hollywood star, Anna told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "The hotel we were staying at had yoga classes, so I thought I might be good at that, I took dance as a kid. And on set, I was like, ‘yeah, I was doing this move with my leg over my shoulder’. Bragging, basically.
"And George said, ‘can you touch your head to your knees?’ I was like, no one can do that. And he did it right there in front of me. He basically folded himself in half. It’s really impressive. It was like, OK – so you’re better than me at everything."
Despite subsequently becoming one of the most in-demand actresses in the movie business, Anna admitted she still has lots of self-doubts.
She shared: "I can talk myself out of doing things sometimes."
