Andrew Lancel admits he would be the "first there" if ‘The Bill’ ever returned.
The 43-year-old actor – who played Detective Inspector Neil Manson from 2003 until the show concluded in 2010 – would jump at reprising his role if the opportunity came up.
He told Digital Spy: "I did seven [years] on it. Would it come back? I’d be first there if it was the same team. It is still on everywhere, thank god. I think ‘The Bill’ is on every day somewhere in the world.
"Of course, I’m very honoured to be part of that. It’s nice when you look back on stuff and I had a good run on telly."
The hunky star – who also did a stint on ‘Coronation Street’ when he was cast as nasty Frank Foster in 2010 – admits he would love to take on another soap role in the future.
He explained: "If the part’s good, of course! I always keep reading rumours of what I’m doing next anyway! I’ve been very lucky with my work."
Meanwhile, Andrew will next be seen in an upcoming episode of the hospital drama ‘Casualty’.
