Andi Oliver returning to revamped Beat the Chef

Andi Oliver will present the new series of ‘Beat the Chef’.
The 56-year-old TV chef is joining a stellar chef lineup – including Mark Sargeant, Frederick Forster, Hrishikesh Desai and Sophie Michell – as the host for a revamped take on the beloved daytime cooking show on Channel 4.
She has been having an absolute blast on set, and tweeted on Friday (21.02.20): "It’s been SO much fun to shoot this! I can’t wait for you all to see our brand spanking new series of #beatthechef it’s pretty excellent! #wadadlidiaries (sic)"
The upcoming run will see amateur cooks go head-to-head against award winning chefs in a series of fast-paced cook-offs to try and win a £10,000 jackpot.
‘Beat the Chef’ last aired in May but the new series – which is produced by Twofour – promises to refresh the show giving the amateurs a better chance at beating the chef.
Rachel Innes-Lumsden – Director of Programmes for Twofour – explained: "We are delighted to be making another series of ‘Beat the Chef’ for Channel 4.
"This revamped format ups the chances of the amateur beating some of the UK’s finest chefs."
Each episode will see the contestants create their own favourite recipe against the chef, who in turn has to cook their own version of the dish.
Both meals will then be judged by the blind-folded tasting jury, who will vote for their favourite – and the more votes the contestant gains, the more money will be added to their prize pot.
In the second round, the chefs choose the dish and challenge the amateurs to keep up with them.
Contestants must predict how many votes they will get from the tasting jury, and if they get it right they win the money – worth £10,000 for a majority vote.
However, if they guess incorrectly they walk away with nothing.
