Amy Adams says fans shouldn’t expect a catfight between Lois Lane and Wonder Woman in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’.
The actress will reprise the character of Lois after assuming the role in 2013’s ‘Man of Steel’, but insists there won’t be tension between the female protagonists vying for the attention of Superman because it would be too obvious.
She said: "They always think that if you put in another woman and automatically … ‘Catfight!’ No, I think that’s a male fantasy thing. I don’t think that’s reality."
Gal Gadot has joined the project – which is set to be released on March 25, 2016 – as Wonder Woman after appearing in several ‘Fast & Furious’ movies, and Amy, 40, said she was relieved to find out the star would be involved in the movie because she didn’t want to be the only female working on the film.
She added: "It’s exciting to get to bring in all these other characters and I was really excited that Gal was involved, because it was a nice to have another girl on set, even if we don’t work together a lot, it was nice to have her there."
However, the ‘Her’ actress admitted she is unsure about the plots for future films, ‘Justice League Part One’ and ‘Justice League Part Two’, in which the pair may argue.
She added to Coming Soon: "I don’t know how it will turn out, if we’re going to be competition, but we are not in this, I can safely say, and we’re not in real life. She’s just the coolest girl ever."
