Amber Gill lied on Love Island VT to sound ‘interesting’

Amber Gill has admitted to telling a "full-on lie" in her ‘Love Island’ VT.
The 22-year-old TV personality – who won the fifth series with ex-boyfriend Greg O’Shea – received messages from fans asking for her opinion on the new Islanders set to hit the villa on Sunday (12.01.20), but she was hesitant to make judgements on the singletons as she lied in her own introduction video.
Speaking to her 2.8 million Instagram followers on Wednesday (08.01.20), Amber confessed: "As far as my opinions go on the Islanders, it is hard to say because I don’t want to form an opinion yet because I was saying all sorts of madness in my VT.
"So I wouldn’t want anyone to judge me for that – even though that is what it’s there for."
Amber admitted she had told viewers she had never been turned down by a potential date.
She added: "I’m sure I said I have never been rejected… or something like that which was [a] full-on lie but I wanted to sound interesting.
"Well not a lie but I’ve never been rejected because I’ve never made the first move looool (sic)"
Amber is interested to see how one boy and girl work out in the villa, despite not being quick to judge the new batch of Islanders. She was fond of 24-year-old police officer Mike Boateng from London, who called himself "charming" and "easy to approach".
He said: "My charm and my character. I’m a very personable person so I’m easy to approach and I’m hoping that’ll make it easy for me to speak to a girl and connect with her."
And 22-year-old customer service adviser Leanne Amaning from London, who described herself as "fun".
