Amanda Seyfried and Lily James up for third Mamma Mia!

Amanda Seyfried and Lily James would love to star in a third ‘Mamma Mia!’ movie together.
The 32-year-old actress reprised her role as Sophie Sheridan for the sequel to the 2008 film in ‘Mama Mia! Here We Go Again’, whilst the ‘Darkest Hour’ star took on a younger version of Meryl Streep’s alter-ego, Sophie’s mother Donna Sheridan, for the first time in the latest outing.
The pair got on like a house on fire on set and would love to return for another film, but admit it could be mind-boggling for the screenwriters as having the two characters back would require some time travelling as they are from different eras.
During an appearance on the BUILD series in New York on Friday (20.07.18), Amanda laughed: "I would love to work with Lily in the next one which would be ridiculous because it wouldn’t make sense … or would it?"
And Lily suggested that they could take a leap out of ‘Back to the Future’s book.
The 29-year-old star replied: "You know, I always thought a really cool wish would be to be friends with your parents when they were young. So how cool if you could like come back, we could be friends in the 70s as mother and daughter but friends! Like ‘Back to the Future’!"
The ‘Mamma Mia’ franchise is based on the music of Swedish pop supergroup ABBA, whose songwriters Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson executive produce the films, and the latter recently admitted that a third movie would only be made for a "good reason" or with "good script", which also applies to the ‘Waterloo’ hitmakers making another album.
He said recently:"Doing another album is like doing Mamma Mia 3, what is the point unless there is a good reason, good script, good environment? It is such a joyful experience, so that is a reason to do it."
