Amanda Holden plans Christmas "weeks in advance".
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge – who has children Lexi, eight, and Hollie, two, with husband Chris Hughes – admits she likes to take charge of celebrations in her home and wants everything to go so well, she creates extensive planning documents.
She said: "I need to be in charge in the kitchen. Cooking is my domain because, in all honesty, I don’t trust anyone else to do it.
"I make spreadsheets and really plan weeks in advance. I need everything to run smoothly."
Despite her organisation, Amanda’s plans nearly came undone last year after her house suffered a power cut.
She told Closer magazine: "It was awful! We had no power so we had to get the barbecue out just in case it didn’t come back on. Can you imagine a turkey barbecue in December?
"Luckily we got the power back on but we were behind schedule. I needed a sweet sherry to calm me down after that, believe me."
