Alex Scott ‘to co-host The Real 2020 Games’

Alex Scott has signed up to co-host ‘The Real 2020 Games’.
The 35-year-old former footballer will team up with Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff to present ITV’s celebrity Olympics.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "Bosses wanted to add another sports-person into the mix to give some extra weight to the presenting line-up and Alex fits the bill.
"She’s a natural in front of the camera and really impressed when she fronted the coverage as a pundit on the BBC during the Women’s World Cup."
The new show will see a host of famous faces tackle  various Olympic events, with the javelin and shot put among the   challenges.
ITV bosses are said to believe Alex is the perfect person to join the presenting panel after her success on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ last year.
The insider said: "Alex is no stranger to being a personality on camera either after her stint on ‘Strictly’. She also won ‘Bear Grylls’ Mission Survive’, so signing her up alongside Holly and Freddie seems like a great idea."
However, with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics postponed until next year due to coronavirus, ITV is unsure when they will be able to film ‘The Real 2020 Games’.
The spokesperson added: "Filming is still up in the air, but bosses know Alex is going to be a natural. And with her punditry background she’ll be fantastic at not only giving analysis but also with commentary."
Show bosses are said to have lined up some "big-name stars" for the programme.
An insider previously revealed: "There is a real buzz around it and everyone is hoping it looks as good on screen as it does on paper.
"A number of big-name stars are being signed up to take part.
"They’ll be split into teams and trained to compete in certain sports, like shot put and synchronised swimming."
