Alex Salmond rejects I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Alex Salmond has turned down numerous lucrative deals to compete on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The Scottish politician has claimed bosses of the ITV jungle-based show have offered him "pots of money" to take part in the forthcoming series in November but he’s turned them down because he doesn’t have the time and he hates bugs.
He explained: "They said I was ‘down to earth, engaging, brilliant, witty’, that I would do very well on their show and they would pay me pots of money. But I have constituents to serve as an MP – and I don’t like creepy crawlies."
However, although he doesn’t have the time to take part in the show, the 61-year-old member of parliament believes the UK’s former Prime Minister David Cameron – who stepped down from his position last month after the country voted to leave the European Union – would be up for the challenge.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Alex added: "However, David Cameron has time on his hands…"
Meanwhile, Alex wasn’t the only politician being lined up for a stint in the jungle as bosses were also eager to get former UKIP leader Nigel Farage on board but they were forced to ditch that idea after he asked for £800,000 to take part.
