Alex Rodriguez thinks Jennifer Lopez is a "great mother and friend".
The 42-year-old sportsman – who has been dating the ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker for seven months – has gushed about his partner, insisting she is "amazing" and the "hardest working" person he knows.
He said: "Jennifer is an amazing person. She’s the hardest working … She’s got like 10 jobs. Look, she loves sports. She’s an athlete herself. She’s a great mother, great daughter, great friend. She’s just someone that … she’s fun to be around."
And despite his new romance, Alex will always be friendly with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis for the sake of their children – Ella, nine, and Natasha, 12.
Speaking on Nightline, he added: "From the beginning, we always put the kids first so that they will grow and have emotional wellness and not feel a lot of the tugging that you feel sometimes happens in families that are divorced."
Meanwhile, Jennifer – who has nine-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony – previously confessed she feels like she has a really "pure, true love" with Alex.
She shared: "I’m in a good relationship. I feel like I can say that for the first time. Not that I didn’t have great relationships, full of love and adventure, but this is the first relationship I’ve been in where I feel like we really make each other better. We complement each other and there’s a really pure, true love, just wanting to support the other person and make them happy.
"So there’s a different selflessness in the love that’s beautiful and different. And healthy! It’s a very healthy relationship. We both want it to be healthy, we both have kids and want to set an example. It’s really nice it’s really different."
