Alex Fletcher was terrified about Hollyoaks Later sex scene

Alex Fletcher was "so nervous" about her ‘Hollyoaks Later’ sex scenes.
The 43-year-old actress – who has played Diane Hutchinson for almost 10 years – will take centre stage for the soap’s late night hour-long special episode as she shares a racy scene with her on-screen father-in-law Edward Hutchinson (Joe McGann).
She told the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column: "I was so nervous but when I read the scripts I could see that it was needed. And even though it was a bit risky it was tastefully shot and I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
"I was fake tanned within an inch of my life but I felt good about myself and I think that was really important having had two c-sections, and being a bit body conscious I just thought sod it!
"I had a massive oversized fur coat on, and you get to see my back and my legs. You try and do it with class and the story did warrant it."
Alex admitted she loved that her alter ego – who doesn’t know her husband Tony (Nick Pickard) has been locked up at the pig farm by killer Breda McQueen (Moya Brady) – got the chance to be "a bit cheeky".
She added: "What I loved was that it was Diane feeling good about herself and being a bit cheeky! I remember thinking I’m going to embrace this.
"I’m not going to start panicking, I’m going to be confident and I want to own it and I really really did.
"I remember thinking there’s no good being a chicken about this, I’ve just got to go for it. And I hope it doesn’t disappoint."
‘Hollyoaks Later’ will air tonight (06.01.20) on E4, and tomorrow on Channel 4.
