Alec Baldwin’s stalker wants ‘closure’

A woman jailed for stalking Alec Baldwin still wants to speak to the actor.

Genevieve Sabourin – who was released from New York’s Rikers Island prison on March 31 after being sentenced to 180 days behind bars last November – is seeking "closure" from the ’30 Rock’ star in a bid to put her past behind her.

She said: "I don’t have his side of the story, so I feel like I don’t have the full truth. I wanted to understand his side. On my quest for closure, I want to understand why he did this to me."

Genevieve was arrested outside the 55-year-old actor’s home in April 2012 and subsequently found guilty of five counts of harassment and stalking and says she has "lost everything" as a result of her conviction.

She told RadarOnline.com: "I can’t take anything back. The truth is I lost my house, my savings, my retirement plan, my job, [and] my friends. I lost everything.

"I just wasn’t rich and powerful enough to save myself."

The French-Canadian beauty is now looking to the future and claims she has acting offers "piling in".

She said: "The past is the past. There’s nothing I can change. It has been a tough ride, but this isn’t the time for a breakdown. I’m ready to bounce back. In America, people rise from the ashes, and I’m strong enough to do that.

"I’m finally back on track and ready to show people who I really am. I want to be an inspiration, to prove that even if you fall down, you can rise again."

The actress’ lawyer previously claimed his client had a brief "sexual relationship" with Alec in 2010 and he subsequently gave her the "cold shoulder", prompting her to "seek closure" from him.

However, Alec has denied they were ever romantically involved.
