Alec Baldwin brands Dylan Farrow a liar in defence of Woody Allen

Alec Baldwin has seemingly called Dylan Farrow a liar in reference to her allegation that her Woody Allen sexually assaulted her when she was a child.
The ‘Boss Baby’ star previously defended the Hollywood director – who brought up Farrow with ex-partner Mia Farrow – and branded the accusations made against the 82-year-old filmmaker as "unfair and sad", and he has now been tweeting in Allen’s defence once more.
The 59-year-old actor compared Dylan to Mayella Ewell from the novel ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’, who wrongly accused a black man of raping her, and has claimed she is just using "emotion" to trick people into believing her sob story to "destroy" Allen’s career.
In a series of tweets posted on his and wife Hilaria’s foundation’s profile, Baldwin said: "Of the most effective things Dylan Farrow has in her arsenal is the ‘persistence of emotion … Like Mayella in ["To Kill a Mockingbird"], her tears/exhortations [are] meant [to] shame u [into] belief in her story. But I need more than that before I destroy [someone], regardless of their fame. I need a lot more. [sic]"
Baldwin then suggested that if Dylan is telling the truth, why would her sibling Moses Farrow, 39, have rubbished the claims and defended his father, asking: "Which of Mia’s kids got the honesty gene?"
Tagging Farrow, 32, he added: "To say that @RealDylanFarrow is telling the truth is to say that (brother) @MosesFarrow is lying. Which of Mia’s kids got the honesty gene and which did not? … If my defense of Woody Allen offends you, it’s real simple. Unfollow. Condemn. Move on. (sic)"
After Dylan published an open letter in The New York Times in 2014, alleging that Allen molested her in an attic when she was seven and accusing Hollywood of turning a "blind eye", her brother Moses said their mother Mia was just trying to get her own back after Allen fell in love with and married Soon-Yi Previn – the adopted daughter of Mia and her second husband Andre Previn.
Moses responded: "My mother drummed it into me to hate my father for tearing apart the family and sexually molesting my sister. And I hated him for her for years. I see now that this was a vengeful way to pay him back for falling in love with Soon-Yi."
Dylan has since responded to Baldwin’s tweets and has said that ‘The Departed’ actor has not considered that "all evidence" in the case was reviewed, and that perhaps he is not looking at the finer details, considering it is "debated" as to whether the character in the tome was raped.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Dylan said: "It’s interesting that Mr. Baldwin chooses to dismiss the judgments of Justice Wilk and Prosecutor Frank Maco, who reviewed all of the evidence instead of just selected bits and pieces.
"However, considering that Mr. Baldwin confidently invoked Mayella Ewell to make his point while forgetting that it’s been hotly debated that she was, in fact, raped by her father, demonstrates that perhaps Baldwin is just not a stickler for details."
Allen denied the allegation and recently accused the Farrow family of "cynically using the opportunity afforded by the Time’s Up movement to repeat this discredited allegation".
