Alcohol takes Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse tragically joined the 27 Club when she died in July 2011 from to alcohol poisoning.
The British singer was known for her deep, expressive vocals and eclectic mix of musical genres including soul, rhythm and blues, and jazz.
Her debut album’ Frank’ back in 2003 was a critical success and was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
But it was her second LP ‘Back to Black’ which catapulted her to global fame and earned her a slew of Grammy Awards.
Sadly, Amy had a destructive relationship with drugs and alcohol and despite her bet efforts to get sober she relapsed and was five-times over the drink-driving limit when she died at her Camden home in North London.
