Alan Halsall wants to say on Coronation Street until 2029

Alan Halsall wants to spend another 10 years on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 37-year-old actor has played Tyrone Dobbs for more than two decades and is hopeful producers will still have a place for his character for several years to come.
Asked if he wants to do another 10 years, he said: "I would like to, we’ll see if they keep me that long."
Alan admitted it does sometimes feel like he’s been on the soap a very long time and he’s happy to use his years of experience to join other veteran cast members to help the newcomers.
Speaking at Nickelodeon’s SlimeFest 2019 in Blackpool at the weekend, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It’s nearly 22 years, sometimes it does feel that long and that I’m that old …
"We’ve got a great cast and lots of people help the newcomers."
While it’s only October, Alan is already looking beyond the festive season as he recently wrapped filming his Christmas storylines.
He said: "Everything is going really well, just shot Christmas and we’re into the new year now, it’s all a bit weird, finished Christmas when we’re celebrating Halloween."
Alan attended the event with his girlfriend and former ‘Corrie’ co-star Tisha Merry (Steph Britton).
The cobbles star recently poked fun at his own relationship’s age gap by sharing a picture of himself trying out a beauty regime which involved putting what appeared to be anti-wrinkle patches under his eyes.
He wrote on his Instagram Stories: "The s**t ya have to do when your girlfriends 10 years younger than you!! @missdrewmerry93 (sic)"
