Adele ‘nervous about Glastonbury performance’

Adele is reportedly nervous about her headline performance at Glastonbury on Saturday (25.06.16).
The 28-year-old singer is taking time out from her world tour to take to the stage at the long-running music festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset but despite stellar reviews for her recent gigs, she is said to be slightly worried about taking to the stage in front of the massive crowd of at least 150,000 people.
According to The Sun newspaper, Adele’s manager Jonathan Dickins was overheard telling a pal: "She’s nervous. She hasn’t got here yet. I think anyone would be nervous playing in front of that crowd.
"I’m nervous myself. I’ve got a twinge!"
Adele has been quite open about her fear of performing in front of large crowds in the past, previously insisting that she would not play Glastonbury for that reason.
She said: "I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury. The crowds are too big – I don’t know if I could do it."
However, she has since changed her mind and hit back at those who dubbed her too "boring" to headline the music extravaganza.
She said: "I wanted to do it last year but my record wasn’t ready. And to the people who say I am too boring to headline, you’re more f***ing boring for moaning about me headlining."
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Adele’s mother is camping at Glastonbury.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker’s mum Penny Adkins has been put up in the luxury Green Fields campsite, because she insisted on experiencing the music extravaganza "in full" and wanted to be close to the action.
A source told Mirror Celeb: "Penny loves a party just as much as Adele and she wouldn’t miss her headlining Glastonbury for the world. She wants the full experience and is camping in the Green Fields with some of the staff."
It’s set to be a big night for Penny, who will be looking forward to seeing her daughter headline the Pyramid stage at 10.15pm.
Penny could easily have opted to stay with her daughter in a five-star hotel off-site and sleep in a comfy bed, but the enthusiastic mum wanted to get stuck in and mingle with the fans who have flocked to the site this weekend.
The source added: "She always supports Adele at her gigs but this is going to be a special night for her watching her daughter headline the Pyramid Stage.
"Penny is very laid back and even though she could have been put up in a house nearby she chose to really get involved."
