Adele is reluctant Grammys queen

Adele may have worn green to the Grammys but she had no reason to be green with envy at the ceremony as she left the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on Sunday night (12.02.17) with five gongs.
But the British songstress was a reluctant winner and used her acceptance speech for Album of the Year for ’25’ to pay tribute to her idol Beyoncé and her LP ‘Lemonade’, which her own record beat to the prestigious prize.
Adele said: "I can’t possibly accept this award. I’m very humbled and I’m very grateful and gracious. But the artist of my life is Beyoncé. And this album to me, the ‘Lemonade’ album, is just so monumental. Beyoncé, it’s so monumental. And so well thought out, and so beautiful and soul-baring and we all got to see another side to you that you don’t always let us see. And we appreciate that."
