‘Hollyoaks’ bosses have hired a hot underwear model to join the soap this summer.
Producers have been on the hunt for someone to replace Danny Mac – who played Dodger Savage in the show until his departure in 2015 – as the programme’s sexiest ever male and hope their newest recruit Adam Woodward will do just that.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Danny Mac was the soap’s sexiest ever male and finished runner-up on one of TV’s biggest entertainment shows.
"It was always going to be hard to replace someone like him and it’s taken nearly two years but everyone reckons they’ve found something special in Adam.
"He’s already been causing quite a few hearts to flutter at the Lime Picture studios where ‘Hollyoaks’ is filmed. And even though he’s following in the footsteps of Danny, which is pretty huge, he’s taking it all in his stride."
The 25-year-old hunk will reportedly play ladies’ man Brody Hudson and, although not much else is known about his storyline, it’s thought he will be joining the soap when it films its summer episodes in Ibiza, Spain, in a few weeks’ time.
He will be joined by Holly Cunningham (Amanda Clapham), Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins), Ellie Nightingale (Sophie Porley) and Prince (Malique Thompson-Dwyer), and Hunter McQueen (Theo Graham) for six weeks.
The insider said: "Brody meets up with the ‘Hollyoaks’ gang in Ibiza and they all think it’s a case of ‘what happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza’.
"So when he arrives in the village after they fly home everyone is shocked to discover he wasn’t just a random holidaymaker they had a bit of fun with.
"And viewers will discover that he actually holds the key to life-changing secrets that could be blown at any time."
Meanwhile, Adam is not new to the soap world, having had a brief run of episodes on ‘Emmerdale’ playing the character Nathan.
Nathan was used by Finn Barton (Joe Gill) to make Kasim (Ethan Kai) jealous but his character was actually a male escort hired to boost Finn’s confidence.
