Adam Sandler’s Pixels for May 2015 release


Adam Sandler’s ‘Pixels’ will be released on May 15, 2015.

The 47-year-old hunk will star opposite Michelle Monaghan who has been cast as his love interest in the film which follows the characters as they try and save the planet after aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them.

They will also be joined on screen by ‘Game of Thrones’ star Peter Dinklage, Joshua ‘Josh’ Gad and Kevin James, according to reports.

Sandler is also producing the Chris Columbus-directed film with Allen Covert, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe.

Executive producers are Barry Bernardi, Jack Giarraputo, Herlihy, Heather Parry and Seth Gordon.

Tim Herlihy and Timothy Dowling penned the script which is based on the short film directed by Patrick Jean and produced by One More Production.

‘Pixels’ was originally scheduled to begin shooting in June will instead start filming next month.

Later this year Sandler is set to hit the big screen on ‘Blended’ where he will reunite with Drew Barrymore, 16 years after their successful movie ‘The Wedding Singer’ and a decade after ’50 First Dates’.
