Adam Levine asked Behati Prinsloo’s father for permission to propose to her.
The Maroon 5 frontman asked the Victoria’s Secret beauty to marry him in July 2013, and though the 25-year-old model admits his proposal was "very simple", it was exactly what she wanted.
Asked the most romantic thing Adam had ever done, she said: "I think proposing.
"It was very simple, there was nothing crazy. It was the way that I wanted it. He called my dad. It was very nice."
Behati also revealed she and the 35-year-old singer – who she married this July – spent months getting to know one another via email before meeting in person, but their first face-to-face encounter was still "awkward".
Speaking to ‘Access Hollywood’, she recalled: "We kind of started talking over email, back and forth for months. I was kind of making fun of him…We talked over email for such a long time and then went to LA and we met for the first time.
"When we met finally, face to face, he was shooting the boxing music video, ‘One More Night,’ I think it was, so he had gloves on.
"And I walked through the door and was like, ‘What am I doing here?’ And he had his gloves on and was like, ‘ This is awkward, hi!’"
