Adam Levine is ready to be a dad

Adam Levine is "ready" to be a dad.
The 37-year-old singer, who is expecting his first child with wife and Victoria’s Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo, cannot wait to be a father because he believes parenthood is what everyone was "born" to be, which other aspects in life won’t compare to.
Speaking to ET Online about becoming a dad, the Maroon 5 frontman said: "I’m ready to be a dad.
"You’re born to be a parent, that’s what we’re here for, really. All the other s*** is great, but it’s not what we’re here for."
The ‘Moves Like Jagger’ hitmaker – who married the 26-year-old Namibian model in 2014 – has been bombarded with advice on what to do in preparation for their first-born, but the couple intend to do it their own way.
He explained: "When you are doing this for the first time, everybody loves to tell you what you should be doing. So, we’re kind of tuning a lot of it out and we’re just going to do it how we do it."
Meanwhile, Adam’s musical pals are looking forward to watching him in dad mode, and believe he will take to parenting well.
Pharrell Williams said: "He’s a really engaged type of person. So, I think he’s going to be really engaged with his son or daughter…When he’s into something, he’s into it. And I know that he’s going to be into his child, for sure."
