AC/DC perform Touch Too Much for first time in 35 years

AC/DC performed ‘Touch Too Much’ for the first time in 35 years in Prague on Sunday night (22.05.16).
The ‘Highway to Hell’ rockers were performing at the Czech city’s Letnany Airport venue on their ‘Rock or Bust Tour’ when they surprised the crowd by playing the song, which hasn’t been on the band’s set list since it was released in 1979, when it was last played by the band played at a show in Nice in France.
And the group teased fans could be in for more rare treats as the tour continues.
Taking to their official Twitter page on Monday (23.05.16), the band wrote: "Last night AC/DC played Touch Too Much for the first time since 1979! What rarity would you like to hear at a show? (sic)"
The heavy metal outfit – comprised of Angus Young, Cliff Williams, Stevie Young and Chris Slade – also made their debut performing the song, which usually features frontman Brian Johnson, with his replacement Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose.
The song was slipped in between the more familiar hits ‘Highway To Hell’ and ‘For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)’.
Axl – who stepped in for Brian after he was told to stop touring or "risk total deafness" – performed for the sixth time with the band and stood up on stage, despite previously using Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl’s custom-built throne while he was recovering with a broken foot.
The ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ hitmaker previously said he’s been finding it "challenging" to sing the songs from AC/DC’s 1980 LP ‘Back in Black’, let alone this rare track, because he wants to them "justice for the fans".
Before heading out on the tour, he said: "I’m happy and excited in one sense, but I think it would be inappropriate to be celebrating, in a certain way, at someone else’s expense.
"A lot of the ‘Black in Black’ stuff is really challenging. I’m not here in any way to disrespect Brian. I can’t take anything away from his singing at all.
"He’s a great singer and It’s really challenging to sing it. I’m just trying to do it justice for the fans."
Axl replaces Brian for the rest of the ‘Rock Our Bust Tour’, which concludes in Dusseldorf, Germany on June 15.
