Abbey Clancy blasts women who chase sports stars

Abbey Clancy thinks women who sleep with soccer stars to boost their profile and their bank balance are "stupid".

The 29-year-old beauty – who married English soccer player Peter Crouch in 2011 – has blasted women who bed players for the purpose of making money from their stories.

She said: "It bothers me when you see all them stupid girls sleeping with footballers then selling their stories the next day."

What’s more, Abbey said that despite being married to a professional soccer player, she has no interest in the sport.

Abbey told Women’s Health magazine: "That’s the opposite end of the scale from my life. I hate football. I’ve got zero interest.

"We met as people. Fell in love. Pete’s the kindest, funniest person ever.

"And I think I’m normal. Nothing in my life has changed morally.

"I can just afford more expensive shoes than I could when I was growing up."

Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Abbey will be the head judge on the new series of ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’, meaning she’ll be returning to the show that launched her modelling career in 2006.

She said: "’Britain’s Next Top Model’ is a show very close to my heart as it’s where I started my career so I am thrilled to be returning as head judge.

"We have an incredible team working on this series and I can’t wait to bring my own spin to the show. Lifetime viewers should expect more drama and style than ever before, and the girls better be ready to bring their A game!"
