Jo Joyner calls Ian Beale wrong name on EastEnders

Jo Joyner accidentally referred to Ian Beale by his real name in ‘EastEnders’ last night (18.02.15).

The 37-year-old actress reprised her role as Tanya Cross during the live episode to attend her pal Jane’s (Laurie Brett) wedding to Ian (Adam Woodyatt) but was heard asking, "How is Adam?" instead of, "How is Ian?"

However, Jo – who played Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) wife in the BBC One soap from 2006-2013 – managed to see the funny side of her mistake and poked fun at herself on Twitter after filming.

She wrote: "You never answered me @LauriebrettX how is @AdamWoodyatt?… #leastyouknowitslive #gutted (sic)."

The blonde beauty – who is set to star alongside former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Michelle Keegan in new BBC drama ‘Ordinary Lies’ – was clearly nervous about her return to the popular drama having expressed her nerves earlier in the day.

She said on the social networking site: "Well. This is all beginning to feel very real…… #toolatetobackoutnow #EElive #whatwasithinking (sic)."

Jo is one of a number of actors reprising their former roles as part of the soap’s 30th anniversary week, which will see Lucy Beale’s (Hetti Bywater) killer finally revealed.

Last night’s (18.02.15) episode saw Peter Beale (Ben Hardy) point the finger at his family – Ian, Jane, Cindy (Mimi Keane) and Bobby (Eliot Carrington) – after discovering his twin sister was killed at home.

‘EastEnders’ continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
