The ‘EastEnders’ actress – whose DVD ‘Natalie Cassidy’s Then and Now Workout’ became the fastest-selling weight-loss DVD ever in the UK after its December 2007 release – has revealed the ‘Broadchurch’ star once told her she loves to try to keep in shape by following her on-screen exercise tips.
Natalie said: "Last year, I was quite drunk and I’m obsessed with Olivia Colman, so I went up to her and I was going on and on at her.
"Anyway, I saw her at the premiere of [stage show] ‘Edward Scissorhands’ and I said, ‘I’m so sorry, Olivia, do you remember the awards?’ And she went, ‘Yeah, I was a bit p***ed,’ and I said, ‘So was I, but I’m pleased you were, too.’
"And she was there talking to me and was saying, ‘I’ve done your fitness video. You’re brilliant!’
"It was quite funny. She’s such a lovely lady."
But Olivia, 41, is unlikely to be buying any new fitness DVDs by Natalie as the 31-year-old star – who plays Sonia Fowler in the BBC One soap – insists she will never do another one again.
She added to heat magazine: "The DVDs were big mistakes. They weren’t good things to do, they were just jobs really."
