Ed Sheeran to perform with Jeff Lynne’s ELO at Grammy Awards

Ed Sheeran will perform with Jeff Lynne’s ELO at the Grammy Awards.

The star-studded performance at the 57th annual music ceremony on Sunday (08.02.15) will also feature ‘Your Body Is a Wonderland’ hitmaker and seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer, 44-year-old DJ Questlove and pianist Herbie Hancock.

Electric Light Orchestra are renowned for their string of hit singles in the 1970s and 1980s such as ‘Mr Blue Sky’ and ‘Strange Magic’, with founding members Jeff Lynne and Richard Tandy reuniting last September for their first full show in 28 years.

The performance will take place on the same evening as 23-year-old musician, Ed, discovers whether he has won his first Grammy Award, having been nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, Album of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media for ‘I See Fire’, which featured in ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’.

Along with the collection of rockers, other treats for viewers will include a performance from four-time nominee Sia, a duet from Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige, and a collaboration between Chris Martin, Beck and pianist Lang Lang.

Further acts set to play at the ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles include Annie Lennox and Hozier, Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Pharrell Williams and John Legend.

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast exclusively on 4Music in the UK at 9pm on Monday February 9.
